It is no secret that the standard of homes in New Zealand is very low. Around 50% of our homes are damp and mouldy and are often the cause of many health problems. HOBANZ would like to see homes that are healthy – not just healthy for those living in them but also healthy for the environment. This encompasses sustainable, energy efficient and eco-friendly housing as well as homes designed to adapt to your situation as you age. Accessibility features are the norm in most commercial and public buildings, but what about our homes?
